Bluenose Clipper Ship
USS Constitution
Sterling wood model plane model was introduced in the early 70’s. My father acquired this model and started building in the 80s’. He built the frame of the fuselage and wings. For some reason he put the build on hold.
When he passed away 2009, my mother gave it to me. It layed in its box for years, since I was working on other projects. I decided to finish the plane (to finish the job my dad started).
The plane was a challenge. It took about a year to complete, custom make parts, and deciding the paint scheme. This was made as a display model. I had no intentions to make this to fly.
I finished the project early March 2020. I was proud to be able to have my mother of 91 years (then) to hold a little part of our family.
I started building the wood scale model in the late 80’s. Over the years it was moved, stored, and became cracked and broken. The refurbishing started in December 2021 and completed March 2022. I bulit the custom wood display case during the first quarter of 2024.
